Will freedom of thought and expression come to an end?

Voltaire was perhaps one of the greatest advocates of civil liberty and ranks right up there with Lincoln, Ghandi and Mandela. Biographer Evelyn Beatrice Hall attempted to capture the essence of how this great man thought and behaved in a line she coined, "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it." Do we need to kill diversity? Even diversity of opinion? I shudder to imagine a world where all of us think one thought only. The one considered "approved." Anyway, who elected you to be the conscience and moral custodian of all of us? Not me, for one!
